What is it?

The Short List is a new exclusive service offered by Short of the Week that offers private screeners of unreleased short films, episodes, and trailers from the best up-and-coming storytellers to selected industry representatives. Whether you’re scouting for content, talent, or just want to get a glimpse into what’s poised to set the film world on fire, we offer the simplest way to discover and connect with the next generation of filmmakers.

As the top destination for short films on the web, we’ve seen a dramatic shift taking place. We believe that the next generation of filmmakers are shifting away from traditional film festivals as their primary mode of discovery and instead turning first to online platforms like Short of the Week to premiere their work, find their audiences, and showcase their voices. The Short List now offers exclusive access to these films before they premiere for selected industry individuals.

What you get.

Exclusive Premieres

Films on the Short List are not yet available anywhere online. Some have screened offline at festivals like Sundance or SXSW and others are world premieres. Look for the yellow Short List badge or see all of the films on the Short List Channel.

3. Browse shortoftheweek.com/channels/short-list for existing Short List films and be notified of new films via email.

During beta, we’re offering access to The Short List for free. In return, we hope to open a line of dialogue with you around what’s working and what could use additional thought as we work out any kinks.
