Kisses From Paris

Directed By Yvan Attal

Evidently Yvan Attal, who directed a segment of the recent New York, I Love You (the one with Ethan Hawke), never got over being snubbed for Paris J’taime. Going back to the well of urban inspiration, he gives us this dreamy short, Kisses From Paris, a film sponsored by the Paris tourist board, which if nothing else, lives up to its title: the film follows two young lovers as they kiss their way around the picturesque city.

The short will be an interesting test case yet again for whether you can force something viral. They secured a spot on YouTube’s front page, and have had writeups in traditional publications like the Guardian and Newsweek, but that promotional push has of yet not translated into viewers; and while I enjoyed the film,  it does not seem like something that will go viral on its own merits. You have found it now though, so enjoy the young attractive people and interesting cinematography in the film’s short 3min runtime, and despair about the absence of unbridled romance in your own life.
